This little oil was painted on the Oregon coast in August of this year (2010) at Newport near the light house. The Oregon coast is wild and pristine with white sandy beaches, high cliffs topped with coastal pines, sea lions, and misty fog that moves in and out. There are relatively few tourists, and every square inch of its coast is public land, unlike California. I've just returned to Indiana from six wonderful weeks of painting there.
