Much of my abstract imagery has to do with space, from shallow to deep and infinite space. I frequently create the illusion of floating objects in space with distorted perspective so the viewer is not sure exactly where the object is in space. That illusion is often carried to the surface of the paper with collage and the shadow with creates from exhibition lighting.
Other images refer to the graphic design of traditional books, especially the double page spread: dividing the image in half (a supposed rule breaker), and then relating each half to the whole with tension and balance.
